NY Aquarium at Coney Island – Restoration

Lizardos was engaged by the Wildlife Conservation Society to design the restoration of the MEP systems throughout the 40+ buildings on the site.  Based on Lizardos’ surveys and approved FEMA site sheets, our engineers prepared and identified a list of long lead items and subsequent pre-purchase specifications for all required equipment.

Upon completion of the contract documents, Lizardos assisted in the construction process, i.e., reviewed all MEP submittals, responded to RFI’s, reviewed MEP change order requests, and attended regular progress meetings and FEMA/WCS meetings during construction, reviewed completed work in the field per FEMA item numbers in the presence of the Contractor and WCS to insure each item has been completed.
