New York University – Chemistry Lab

Lizardos completed design for the MEP renovation of the 20,000sf Bio-Safety Level II chemistry lab in the Silver Building. The new mechanical/electrical systems include:

• 32 new low flow fume hoods
• New air handling unit utilizing 100% outside air
• Integrated building automation system controlling fume hoods, constant volume boxes, air handling
• unit and exhaust fans
• New laboratory gas systems for central nitrogen, vacuum, and compressed air
• Manifolded laboratory gases at each fume hood
• Building infrastructure improvements to support six additional floors of laboratory space
• New electrical power distribution and lighting
• 5 Faculty Offices
• 63 Research Cubicles for Students
• Conference Room
