Case Study

NY Aquarium Commissioning 3

New York Aquarium at Coney Island

Project: Shark Building Addition Commissioning
Industry: Commissioning

Commissioning and owner’s representative services for new $110 million dollar shark building addition. Scope of work includes assisting the Wildlife Conservation Society with MEP related issues, peer review of the MEP system design, review contractors RFI’s and other related contractor’s issues, assist with any of the MEP commissioning process and coordinate work with the design team.

As the project’s “eyes and ears,” provide on-site representation to make sure that construction and commissioning proceeds in accordance with contract documents, act as the Owner’s Representative for commissioning verification and oversee commissioning activities by checking and accepting commissioning plan, pre-functional and functional checklists, controls checklists, issues log and witness all HVAC piping and ductwork testing, cleaning and flushing. As a commissioning provider we identified areas of opportunity in the building for energy savings.
