Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital

Lizardos designed a new high pressure steam boiler plant for Montefiore-New Rochelle Hospital. The new plant includes:

• Three 300-BHP high pressure steam firetube boilers
• Deaerator with four feedwater pumps
• Condensate receiver with two transfer pumps
• Blowdown separate chemical feed system
• 10,000 gallon fuel oil storage tank
• Fuel oil pump skid

The new plant utilizes a microprocessor based control system regulating combustion control, water level, fuel metering, furnace draft control and oxygen trim for efficiency. The new burners are low NOx burners with flue-gas recirculation (FGR).
