For MSK’s Commack, NY Outpatient Center, Lizardos commissioned an extension for 3 floors totaling 37,000sf and 26,000sf that housed the Intervention Radiology (IR) Suite, MRI / CT, Chemo Pharmacy, Medical Oncology, Clinical Laboratory, Phlebotomy / Infusion, Administration and Public Support areas.

Commissioning activities started from the construction phase to post acceptance phase. Reviewed construction correspondence (RFI’s, responses, change orders) for commissioned equipment and systems. Prepared commissioning plan and carried out system verification checklist, functional performance tests, provided unscheduled and scheduled site visits, recorded, issued and updated issues log, organizde commissioning meetings between all interested parties and carried out off-season tests. Commissioned equipment: rooftop packaged air handling units, exhaust fans, pumps, chillers, boiler, VAV terminal units, generator and fuel oil pump system, etc. Observed duct and piping pressure testing, attended and recorded maintenance personnel training sessions and issued a final commissioning report. Final report included systems manual including start-up, emergency shut off, recommendation and description of energy saving strategies, recommendations for re-commissioning frequency by equipment type, etc.
